Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 August 2026. The controller for any personal data processed through this site is Get Licensed Limited, registered in England and Wales (company number 07154333, registered office: 36 Scotts Road, Bromley, BR1 3QD).

The short version

No accounts. No sign-up. We set no cookies and run no advertising or analytics trackers. Your quiz answers, scores and the name you type for a certificate stay in your browser and are never sent to us.

What stays on your device

The quiz runs entirely in your browser. Your answers, your scores and any name you enter for a certificate are stored only in your browser’s local storage on your device. They are not transmitted to us or to anyone else, and we cannot see them. Clearing your browser data removes them.

What our systems process

Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical logs when pages are requested: IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps. We use these only for security and to keep the site running (our legitimate interests), and they are retained only briefly in the ordinary course of hosting.

YouTube videos

Lesson videos are embedded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). No YouTube cookies are set by simply viewing a page; if you press play, YouTube (Google) may set cookies and process data about your viewing under Google’s privacy policy.

Analytics

We may use privacy-first, cookie-free analytics (Plausible Analytics) to count page views in aggregate. It sets no cookies, stores no personal data, does not track you across websites, and collects no identifiers that could single you out. It simply tells us which pages and languages are read most, so we can improve them.

Cookies

We do not set cookies. That is why there is no cookie banner. The only cookies that can arise from using this site are set by YouTube if you choose to play a video, as described above.

Downloads

The handbook and posters are static files. Downloading them requires no personal information.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have rights over personal data we hold about you, including access, correction and erasure. Because we hold essentially nothing about visitors beyond transient hosting logs, there is usually nothing to retrieve, but you can contact us with any request via get-licensed.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If we add features that change how data is handled, for example verified certificates, we will update this policy before they go live. The date at the top shows the latest version.
