First Aid Guru is a project by Get Licensed Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 07154333, registered office: 36 Scotts Road, Bromley, BR1 3QD) (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

First Aid Guru provides free educational content about first aid: videos, written guides, a knowledge quiz and downloadable resources. It exists to help you learn and refresh knowledge.

It is not medical advice, and it is not first aid training. Nothing on this site creates a professional, clinical or advisory relationship between you and us. It is not a substitute for regulated, hands-on first aid training or for advice from a qualified healthcare professional.

In a real emergency, call 999 (UK) or your local emergency number immediately and follow the call handler’s instructions. Do not rely on this website in a live emergency.

The knowledge quiz and any certificate we generate recognise your completion of a free online knowledge check. They are not regulated or accredited qualifications, they are not an Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) or First Aid at Work (FAW) certificate, they do not certify practical competence, and they must not be presented to any employer, regulator or other party as evidence of qualified first aider status or of compliance with the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981.

All content on this site, including videos, guides, the handbook, posters, logos and branding, belongs to us or our licensors. You may download, print and share the handbook and posters free of charge for personal, educational or internal workplace use. You may not sell them, alter them, remove our branding or disclaimers, or pass them off as your own.

Do not misuse the site: no unlawful use, no attempting to interfere with its operation, no bulk scraping of content for republication, and no use of the certificate feature to create misleading documents.

Videos are embedded from YouTube and links may lead to third-party websites, including get-licensed.co.uk. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, which apply when you use them. We are not responsible for third-party content or services.

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, free of charge. Our content reflects UK first aid protocols as taught on regulated courses at the time it was produced; guidance evolves, and we do not promise that every detail is current, complete or error-free at all times, or that the site will always be available.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law: we exclude all conditions, warranties and representations that might otherwise apply to the site or its content; we accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or its content, or from actions taken or not taken by any person in a real situation, whether or not informed by this site; and we accept no liability for indirect or consequential loss. What you do at the scene of an emergency remains your own responsibility, and first aid always depends on the circumstances in front of you.

We may update the site, its content and these terms at any time. The date at the top shows when these terms last changed. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers resident elsewhere in the UK keep the benefit of mandatory rules of their home nation.
